A very reliable tent for mountaineers and trekkers: the Vaude Taurus UL 2P! Despite it’s very lightweight construction, this dome tent is incredibly sturdy. You can set it up in mere minutes, so you can get to the more relaxing part of the evening more quickly. The man tent has a small pack size and weighs less than 2 kilograms in all! Perfect for a rucksack! What’s more, the tent has a great interior layout, which will make tent life much more comfortable on long trips. There are angled poles at the foot of the tent and additional pins in the flysheet, which serve to increase the available space. All the gear you don’t need at night or during a storm can be stored in the rather large vestibule. That way, you and your travel buddy will have the entire interior to yourselves! The PU laminated floor has a hydrostatic head of 10,000mm, whilst the siliconised outer tent has a rating of up to 3000mm. Both fabrics are reinforced with Ripstop as well. When properly pitched and secured, the Taurus UL 2P will allow you to wait out the rain or a strong storm. If the rain ends up putting a damper on your plans, the pleasantly lightcoloured inner tent will brighten up your day. Another great feature: the side ground vents are adjustable, which greatly reduces the flapping sounds during a storm and makes for a better night’s sleep.
